MFDF helps launch Food Futures Truly Good Food

Wednesday 03.02.10, 12:41pm

Alison Gardner Manchester Food & Drink Festival and Food Futures are proud to announce the launch of an exciting new award, Food Futures Truly Good Food.

Food Futures Truly Good Food aims to become a well respected and valued indication of good food values, both for consumers and eating establishments and an exciting new partnership has been established between MFDF and Manchester Food Futures to work towards this. Truly Good Food is designed to accredit eating establishments in and around Manchester who serve good, sustainable food to their customers.

This is a great opportunity for local eating establishments from all backgrounds to get involved and help Manchester become a healthier and happier city. The market for people who are looking for healthy options, have special dietary requirements and want good food choices for their children is increasing all the time. Food Futures Truly Good Food makes your establishment a stronger dining choice for this market. Plus all those accredited will benefit from the marketing and PR that is to take place around the new scheme. Best of all its FREE, from interview to assessment.

Contact the MFDF office on 0161 834 4312 or foodfutures@foodanddrinkfestival.com to arrange a time to meet to discuss Truly Good Food.

After assessment, successful establishments will be presented with a Bronze, Silver or Gold Certificate to display on their premises. The whole process is completely free and all those accredited will benefit from the marketing and PR that is to take place around the new scheme.

To be eligible to apply for Food Futures Truly Good Food, your food establishment must first have achieved good standards for food hygiene. Frequently asked questions concerning food hygiene standards can found at: www.manchester.gov.uk/envhealth/index.htm or on 0161 234 4926
