A FASCINATING addition to Manchester’s food event calendar as Action Against Hunger launches the first Auction Against Hunger in the North on Thursday, September 6 . Already established in London, this has proved a spectacular fund-raiser for the global charity.
It offers an incredible line up of top chefs, leading restaurants, hot bands, free snacks and top prizes from the hospitality and music industries. Included in the price of a ticket at this mega-bash are seven dishes which you get ‘stamped’ off on a little cards as you graze your way around the venue, before bidding for foodie prizes.
Over the past five years, Auction Against Hunger has raised over £550,000 to help support Action Against Hunger’s work saving the lives of malnourished children and providing families with access to safe water and good nutrition.
