Bill's shifts across to Spinningfields with an opulent redesign

30 September 2019

BILL’S on John Dalton is shutting its doors on Thursday, October 3, but fear not, devotees of this middle-of-the-rod restaurant/bar chain, this centre version will reopen in a stylish new space in Spinnngfields on Monday, October 28 and be open all day seven days a week. In the meantime, if you’re missing it, the Trafford Centre Bill’s has reopened after a refurb.

The new Spinningfields venue at 3 Hardman Square will offer 113 covers, featuring cosy booths, sociable sharing tables and a bar, plus a 30-cover outside terrace. Inside we re promised velvet seating and chandeliers to match its more ambitious evening offering of cocktails and dinner specials.

Look out for Bill’ signature dishes such as pan-fried chicken with wild mushrooms; Bill’s classic burger, and new for September roasted butternut squash and feta risotto. A vegan option is jackfruit salad bowl.

Its founder, Sussex greengrocer Bill Collison told us: “This new space, in the heart of Spinningfields, is the perfect setting to bring Bill’s vibrant new look to the city. Here we will create the ultimate Bill’s experience – a welcoming destination with lots of character and the go to place for evening dinner and drinks.”

The move was initially sparked by the makeover of current venue, John Dalton House to incorporate a new hotel, gym, retail units and leisure space, but it has given Bill’s the chance to upgrade. The Trafford centre Bill’s at 112 The Orient also has its eyes on the casual evening crowd with a new set dinner menu at £17.50 for two courses and £20.50 for three, Sunday-Thursday from 5pm.
