THIS looks the most delicious way to help an important charity. It’s a Mango Lassi Doughnut created for 2017 Manchester Food and Drink Awards Restaurant of the Year Bundobust by Siop Shop in the Northern Quarter, the proceeds going to the Children’s Trust, which supports children with brain injuries and neurodisability.
Available at both venues for £3, until stocks run out, it is a cardamom doughnut sandwich with an Alphonso mango cream, glazed and topped with candied fennel seeds.
It’s one of many contributions to National Doughnut Week (May 12-19), set up specifically for bakers and cafes to raise funds for the charity.
