Campo Viejo dinners bring a splash of Rioja to The Loft

PERNOD Ricard continues to promote its brands at The Loft private events space it runs on the top floor of the Quay Street site that formerly housed Oz-themed bar Walkabout.

Ir regularly hosts whisky school The Blend but next week it is switching from grain to grape with a series of three dinners matching Campo Viejo’s Rioja portfolio to dishes cooked by a Spanish chef with high level Michelin experience.

From Thursday 21 to Saturday June 23 these immersive evenings, created in partnership with Eat With, will feature a bespoke five-course dinner paired with Campo Viejo wines, an escorted wine blending session and ‘other colourful surprises’.

The dinners will be created by Michelin-trained Xabi Bonilla from San Sebastian and   Campo Viejo wine ambassador Maria Huete will introduce guests to the accompanying wines.

Diners will also learn the secrets behind each bottle of Campo Viejo through a guided wine blending session, giving them the opportunity to design and take home their own personalised wine blend to share with others.  Tickets cost £40 a head and can be purchased online at EatWith

The Loft was previously used as Walkabout’s hostel accommodation. The space has been stripped back to its bare brickwork, vaulted ceilings and concrete floors to create an industrial-looking blank canvas for all kinds of events.

A striking bar, clad in reclaimed barn wood, showcases brands from across Pernod Ricard UK’s portfolio, which includes Absolut vodka, Havana Club rum, Monkey 47 gin, Jameson Irish whiskey and many more.
