Makers Markets this weekend in Eccles and the Northern Quarter

TWO Makers Markets this weekend and, fingers crossed, some decent weather so you can make the most of these popular shopping and street food events.

First up on Saturday is Eccles, promising 45 artisan stalls – on the food side open top growlers and cheeses, homemade doorstop sized brownies, locally brewed bottled beer, handmade stuffed breads, Greek olive oil and small batch gin

There are twice as many stalls at the Northern Quarter event on Sunday, March 12. is this a record? This time round there are  award winning pies from Cumbrian Pig, doorstop sized brownies from Treats Bakeshop, cupcakes from End Of The Rainbow and t Stuart Thornley’s stonkingl Scotch Egg Cake. Savouries from Wallace and Sons (Katsu Chicken Curry and Pork Baos),  In The Dog Haus (German Smoked Bratwursts with an American twist), The Ottomen (Turkish Meze inspired dishes) and rtisan burgers from What’s YOur Beef?
