HATCH on Oxford Road, is hosting Manchester’s biggest sustainable shopping and lifestyle experience yet (Fri-Sun, March 27-29) – and part of the whole eco package is access to some great street food.
The Green Living Market will be the first in a seasonal market programme at the food, drink and retail destination on Oxford Road following the success of the Sustainable Christmas Markets there.
It’s totally free to enter and will feature over 30 independent, sustainable craft, home and fashion brands as well as live entertainment, eco-friendly workshops and, of course, food and drink pop-ups. Foodwise the workshops will include a seitan making workshop and an organic wine tasting. Beyond that you might be tempted by beeswax wrap making, rag rug creation or terrarium making. Guest food traders include Eighth Day, Bird and Blend Tea, the Finest Honey and Bread in Common.
They will supplement Hatch’s current street food stalls, cafes and bars, including Takk Coffee, OL Brewery, Vin-Yard, Number 8, Fuku, Mezze, Parmogeddon, Herbivorous, Clubhouse, Electrik Box, Hanoi 75, Grandad’s Sausages, Veggie Deli, Golden Nugget, KBOM and ToM’s top tip, Abeja Tapas (our review).
The Hatch music stage will be hosting lives acts all weekend to celebrate the Green Living Markets too with DJ Rick Donoghue returning for an electric mix of funk and soul accompanied by saxophonist Dan Berry, drag queens The Real Banksie and Violet Vogue, live performances from a steel drum band, Art Brazil and much more.
