Pass the Champagne and cuban cigars – a hotel called Dakota

29 November 2018

BOUTIQUE hotel brand Dakota iis rolling up in the New Year. It looks a great place to lay your head down with some of the largest rooms and suites in town, including the “Grand Deluxe” (ToM is saving up). Creator of Dakota is legendary hotelier Ken McCulloch of Malmaison fame.

On the evidence of the group’s other four hotels, Dakota Manchester, located on Ducie Street, close to Piccadilly Station, looks serious about its Grill food too. Brasserie style, so not over-complicated, but we like the classic look of the menus. Here’s the a la carte at the Glasgow Dakota Deluxe. We like the sound of Newtonmore Venison, Butternut Squash, Cavolo Nero Walnut & Berry Jus (£25) and Monkfish Curry, Fragrant Rice, Raita, Kachumba & Mango Chutney (£22).

Alongside the bar there’ll also be a trademark Champagne Room (looking rather bubbly in our main image) and a custom designed cigar garden.
