Should go down well – a Titanic feast at Victoria Baths Open Day

4 July 2018

THE last meal on the Titanic is being recreated for a special Manchester Buttery pop-up at the Victoria Baths Foodie Open Day (July 8) – bridging the gap between two great Edwardian icons with dishes inspired by the doomed liner’s final day menu.

Neil Buttery will be serving the likes of kippers potted shrimp salmon and mousseline sauce, raised pies, corned beef hash au gratin, chocolate éclair and peaches in wine jelly

Tickets for this unique event in the Pineapple Room are £40 per head and there are two sittings at 1pm and 5pm. £10 a head deposits are being taken, the rest payable on the day (no cash machines – how very Edwardian).via this link. Or contact Neil at [email protected] to organise paying the full amount in advance.

A bonus is that tickets for the Titanic event also works as a free pass to the rest of the building, which has lots of further foodie treats on offer and a well-stocked bar.

Street food stalls confirmed: The Otto-Men, The Ottö-MenMio Pizza,La Casita, Sri Non Kitchen and Old Town Chimney Cakes Bakery. There’ll also be cooking demos and workshops from At The Kitchen in the Turkish Baths.
