IT only seems like yesterday – hardly time for the dough to prove – that Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza was acclaimed
third best pizza in Europe.That accolade came from Big 7 Travel. Now this instagrammers’ fave site has awarded it a global rating of 10th best in the world. Surprisingly Spacca in Chicago pips L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Naples for top spot.
Rudy’s, whose 24 hour double fermented dough aims to replicate the classic style, is way ahead of any other pizzeria in the UK as well as some legendary joints in Naples itself.
Owners Mission Mars, who also run Albert’s Schloss, took control of the indie pizza champion two years ago and won £10m funding towards its expansion from investment partner Business Growth Fund, adding a Peter Street Rudy’s to the Ancoats original. A Liverpool outlet followed with Birmingham scheduled for later this summer.
