WE have to report that eden, glam new arrival in The Printworks, pushes a lot of botanically inspired buttons as it unveils its all-day dining and drink menus ahead of its glitzy launch on Friday, August 16.
The previous occupant of the site, Tiger Tiger, wasn’t revered for its food offering. Clubby eden, inspired by the garden of that name, is more ambitious for its restaurant and bar side.
There’s a brunch menu served Monday to Friday until 12pm and at the weekend until 3pm with bottomless brunch then £25 a head.
The all-day menu includes ‘starters & sharers’ – the likes of katsu chicken skewers, Lebanese lamb flatbread and chorizo scotch egg, with vegetarian options including mac and cheese bites, LA chopped Ssalad and gluten-free garlic bread.
The house signature pizza is ‘The Garden of eden’ with a beetroot ketchup base, grilled courgettes, roast harissa chickpeas, crumbled feta, rocket, and topped with harissa yoghurt. Guests can choose to enjoy any eden classic pizza, a bottle of wine and a dessert to share between two people for £20 Monday-Thursday, 5pm to 10pm.
‘Land earth and sea’ themes govern dining options. Work out which dish belongs where from the eden menu. Definitely from the sea (maybe via the jungle) is pan-fried salmon with coconut and lemongrass curry, steamed sticky rice, fresh basil and coriander chutney. A steak and sandwich selection culminates in a 1kg Tomahawk Sharer.

There’s also a variety of sharing platters, set menus (two courses for £14, three for £19) with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options plus a kid’s menu with dishes starting at £2.50.
Signature eden-themed cocktails include Adam & Eve (green apple liquor, Brooklyn Gin, lemon juice, honeycomb syrup, topped with eden’s own insignia) and Original SinBuffalo (Trace Bourbon, bitter orange and chocolate cookie syrup. The bar’s ‘Herbaceous Happy Hour’ is available 5pm-9pm daily and each ‘Fizz Friday’ Prosecco is £15 a bottle all night.
