Among food fans, there are few places in Manchester that everyone agrees upon. But Salvi's authetic Italian deli, bar and mozzerella bar in the Triangle is one (perhaps the only one). Serving Aperol Spritz, Negronis, cured meats, pig cheek, pancetta and Carbonara and classics along the lines of Parmigiana di Melanzane, it's a home-style Italian paradise. The only thing holding the operation back, until now, has been space. So imagine our delight when we discovered that owner, Maurizio Cecco, has an airy, new branch of Salvi's on John Dalton Street, complete with a Euro-style open front and expanded wine list, opening hours and menu.
