Manchester's Castle Hotel was taken over by a group that owns, in part, the Parlour in Chorlton, Gullivers, and Salfords Eagle Inn. The Castle was one of the first though, and its been ably transformed into a boozer for the hipster generation, pensioners, and everyone inbetween. Tiles floors and polished brass fittings lend a traditional edge to whats essentially just a brilliant pub, with a great atmosphere, late opening and a stage in one room making it particularly popular with spoken word nights. There are a solid range of well-kept ales on draught, Robinson's as well as guest, plus a larger than usual wine by the glass selection. No food.
