The tallest mixed use building in Europe is Beetham Tower which makes resident Cloud 23 bar one of the most skyscraping bars in the UK. Located halfway up the building, its rightly loved by VIPs as its a cool and exclusive place to sip a range of classic and Manchester-themed contemporary blends, fine wines and cocktails. A major part of the appeal is the view. Peer out over Wales, Liverpool, Cheshire and Cumbria, taking in sights such as Jodrell Bank telescope. The plush cream and chrome interior, designed by Ian Simpson Architects, is a tasteful nod to 1960s modernism. Open from until late, table service makes it feel that little bit more glamorous. Be warned though, its almost impossible to get a table on weekends. See also Top 10 Cream Teas.
