• Lusitano

613 Wilbraham Road

M21 9AN

Portuguese food has been unrepresented in Manchester's global-rich food scene since the closure of city centre Luso. Lusitano aims to make up for that with its array of roasts, tapas and wines inspired by Spain's quieter neighbour. Expect mains like Bacalhau con Migas (salted and dried cod with black eyed peas, £15.45) and Robalo Madierense (seabass in a passion fruit and Madeira sauce with fried bananas, £13.85). TOM is a big fan of Leitao Confitado (Portuguese sucking pig and trimmings).
