This delicious, glamorous offering from the region’s celebrated Living Ventures group is one for the cocktail connoisseur – and there are two outlets to choose from in Manchester, the original in Spinningfields having recently taken over part of the former All Saints store next door and doubled its number of covers. The smoky Old Fashioned, served in equipment that wouldn’t look out of place in a chemistry lab (imbued with fashionable oaky flavours and literally smoking), is one of the highlights of a menu that includes floating meringues, tropical martinis and contemporary bar food. The clientele is business folk, bright young things and ladies who lunch thanks to an interior that's as much of a draw as the mixology. The original branch in Spinningfields is all copper tones and sky-high ceilings, not to mention a popular spacious outdoor terrace in cream leather tones. Up on New York Street, just off Piccadilly, space is key. Fans will be pleased to know there’'s an outlet in Leeds now too just opposite the Everyman Cinema.
