Anyone who thought that food and drink matching needed to be confined to the grape or the grain… Think again as Tariff and Dale team up with some of the region’s most learned drinks experts (of both grape and grain varieties) to present Manchester’s first competitive food pairing event.
A fine 6-course dinner will be prepared by Tariff and Dale chefs, and each course will be paired with a wine as well as a beer, by both of the special guest drinks luminaries. Guests will hear from both the wine and the beer expert, as they each make the case for why their drink is the perfect pairing! Guests will vote for which is the best match after each course.
That adds up to 6 rounds of ‘head to head’ food and drink matching…
At the end of the dinner, one of the drinks aficionados – and his tipple - will
be declared the winner!
In the “Beer Corner” will be the effervescent Will Evans of the Cave Direct – one of the UK’s leading craft and speciality beer suppliers.
In the “Wine Corner” will be sophisticat Nathan Fiske of Springwell
Wines –locally based, fine wine restaurant wholesalers to the Northern
restaurant industry.
