MAN (or woman) cannot survive by caffeine alone, so it’s good to see Pot Kettle Black serving alcohol in their beautiful Barton Arcade premises – the artisan coffee house run by the rugby lads, Jon Wilkin and Mark Flanagan. They have created a wintry cocktail menu to celebrate and at the launch on Wednesday, November 23 (6pm-11pm), drinks are just £5 across the whole evening with live music from local artists. If you miss this bargain treat, pop in any time over the festive period to sample the reasonably priced cocktails or the restorative sounding gin hot toddy (£4.50).
