Be At One – how to lure a load of appi cocktail customers

18 April 2016 by Neil Sowerby

A BARFLY’s life has few greater disappointments than missing Happy Hour by a whisker. Or should that be by a whiskey? Be At One, latest addition to Manchester’s competitive cocktail scene, in the old Circle Club Barton Arcade premises, has the antidote and it has proved hugely successful since its inception in 2015.

More than 170,000 folk have downloaded the national chain’s Be At One smartphone app, Appi Hour, allowing them to start their Happy Hour as and when you want – providing it’s before 10pm from Sunday to Thursday.

To promote, it Be At One is promising a round of cocktails on the house until the end of April (Mon-Fri 7pm-11pm) if the bartender forgets to tell his or her guests about the app when they place their order.

Plus the bar is also running ‘Appi April’, in which the app’s random cocktail generator will select a different cocktail every Friday, the first 20 of which will be given away free (from opening time to 10pm); after that it will cost £5.

You can download the app from ITunes

Be At One, 13 Barton Arcade, Barton Square,, Deansgate, M3 2BB. 020 7738 2119. The cocktail bar opens at daily from 4.30pm with daily happy hour on more than 150 cocktails.
