TASTE of Manchester likes nothing better than indulging in some street treats under the arches. That’s why we welcome the return this Saturday (March 18) of GRUB Food Fair to Alphabet Brewing Co with an expanded trader line-up.
For their second run of 2017 they are hosting five hot food sellers plus a dessert trader each week. The brewery is even planning to increase the space for further expansion, given the demand.
Over the next six Saturdays guest traders will include Andy Low ’N’ Slow (best BBQ outside of London), Club Mexicana (vegan Mexican traders, regulars at London’s Street Feast), Pietanic (Birmingham pie legends), Get Wurst (top notch bratwurst and currywurst) plus loads more. Alongside the guest traders local GRUB favourites will be returning including Yakumama, What’s Your Beef Burgers, Mac Daddies and many, many more.
To wash all this down Alphabet are promising a steady stream of beer specials – an Easter version of their popular Flat White breakfast stout, flavoured with creme eggs, anyone? – plus Steep Soda crafty cocktails and an expanded range of organic wines from Reserve of West Didsbury. Tunes are supplied every week from 3pm by the likes of Jonny Shire, Agent J, Better Days and Pasta Paul.

Luncheonette – Manchester chefs on a mission to serve up the best brunch dishes around. Anybody for brisket benedict?
The Hip Hop Chip Shop – Local legendary fryers of the finest fish and chips around (pictured).
Mac Daddies – Slinging everybody's favourite comfort food mac & cheese from their dashing truck.
Wallace and Sons – This man knows his bao and gyoza and he wants you to to know them too. Expect kimchi, too.
The Authentic – Greek souvlaki done authentic style as the name suggests!
The Biscuit Tin – Freshly baked on the spot straight out of the oven traditional cakes.
Plus DJs Jeff O'Toole (Sounds of Eighty Six) and Iwan Roberts (Pinot Grigio Records / Blawd).
