ALL Star Lanes is aiming to bowl us over with its relaunch revamp this July. Six years on from its arrival from London the boutique bowling brand is introducing a new ‘contemporary industrial design’, complete with an exclusive private room and two karaoke booths to its site in the Great Northern.
Ah, those karaoke opportunities sound quite something. 60,000 songs on offer from a state of the art system plus colourful banquette seating and subtle lighting. The small karaoke room hosts up to eight guests and the larger room has a capacity of 12.

An all new private space, The Green Room, draws themes from the city’s musical and entertainment heritage. It offers a cocktail bar, plush burgundy seating and two retro bowling lanes with unlimited bowling. It holds a standing reception of up to 100 people or 60 people in a theatre style. All this will be unveiled at a launch party on Wednesday, July 17.
The Lanes Kitchen at is giving its menu a summery upgrade to go with the relaunch. Exec chef Matt Goussaert has created lighter dishes, including bang bang chicken, rainbow chopped salad and salmon and prawn skewers.
There’s also the option of their new Nashville Menu (above), centrepiece of ASL’s Independence Day party on Thursday, July 4 with live country music from 6pm. For £25 head, dine drink, bowl. Full details here.
