Common to shut for major revamp, Beagle's all about a new menu

24 February 2015

CHANGES underway at the Jonny Heyes co-owned Common and Beagle bars. The first, a Northern Quarter institution for over a decade, is shutting its doors this March for a major transformation/expansion, while its Chorlton sibling is launching its new covered terrace alongside a refreshed food menu.

Common fans, of which TOM is definitely one, are being assured the ethos of the place is not going to change – things that set it apart such as championing the city’s art and design scene.

When it re-opens Common will have earlier opening times, and an extended square footage with 30 additional covers, making more time and room for a new all day food menu and next level coffee. Follow the changes on Twitter @common_bar and on Facebook.

Meanwhile over at the Beagle below) expect LA-inspired street food and Calexican classics including Baja Fish Tacos, the Fajita Salad and the Ancho and Lime Chicken Burrito, plus a range of new 'Pick and Mix' snacks.

Common, 39 Edge Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester M4 1HW.

The Beagle, 456-458 Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton M21 0BQ.
