Cooper’s Hall – Basement European beer hall with a style all its own

18 November 2016 by Neil Sowerby

EUROPEAN style beer halls are very much in vogue at the moment. The wonderful Albert’s Schloss has a lot to answer for! But the imminent Cooper’s Hall – with 300 covers on an equally grand scale – is underlining its own special Northern Quarter identity.

Based in the former Copacabana club in Sevendale House, Dale Street, this basement bar launches on Thursday, December 1, promising street food traders, DJs and a range of European beers – including unpasteurised Pilsener Urquell tank beer from the Czech Republic.

It’s the NoHo group’s fourth city centre venture, with Wood & Co opening on South King Street earlier this year.

Rebecca Race, director at NoHo."Our inspiration for the interior very much comes from the history of the building, we wanted to pay tribute to its namesake.”

Fancy a £50 bar tab to enjoy at Cooper Hall after it opens to the public on Friday, December 2? Go to their Twitter site @Cooperhallmcr and retweet and follow to enter the competition, winner to be chosen by November 24.
