ESCAPE THE CHRISTMAS CROWDS WITH WINTERLAST – A WINTER HIDEAWAY AT NOMA

22 November 2017

HUMBUG to you all, ToM readers. It has to be said that, despite the restorative effects of George and Shelly’s Mulled Gin on Cathedral Gardens, we are suffering from Christmas Markets fatigue.

Good news – rescue is at hand. A little glowing shed has landed in Sadler’s Yard – described by the folk at NOMA as “a winter Tardis ready to transport you to a world of comfortable conviviality. Travel up through its eaves to discover an alternative festive experience where cosy corners, Christmas films and festive feelings are on tap.”

Definitely on tap are craft beers from The Pilcrow Pub, across the Yard.

Winterlast has been designed and built by Open Design Studio PLANT NOMA and will be operated in collaboration with the team at The Pilcrow, offering an alternative venue for seasonal merriment without a bratwurst in sight.

Expect an esoteric seasonal drinks menu in a tumbledown woodland grotto and enjoy one of the nation’s favourite Christmas films every day for free in PLANT NOMA’s brand new 40-seater cinema with high definition screen, including family-friendly screenings on Saturdays with a fun festive activity.

Alison Power, Events and Stakeholder Manager for the NOMA, told us: “This will be the perfect hidden winter wonderland for Manchester this year, and we’re pleased to have both The Pilcrow and PLANT NOMA involved in Winterlast, reflecting our continued commitment to doing things a little bit differently.”

Winterlast will be open from 4pm, December 1-23 and is located on Sadler’s Yard, NOMA. For more details and to stay up to date with opening times, cinema screenings and the latest bar offering, visit @SadlersYard across social media with #Winterlast or check Eventbrite for ticket details.
