From Reggae Yoga to New Street Food Traders – Why Hatch is Buzzing

31 July 2018 by Neil Sowerby

HATCH continues to be a hive of activity and we don’t just mean with their own Bee in The City arrival. A trio of new food operators refreshes the courtyard of this exciting container-housed  pop-up destination on Oxford Road.

Mama Z: The girl’s authentic, home cooked Filipino menu includes meat and vegan options such as aubergine sisig, chicken adobo and jackfruit adobo pops. In a Hatch first if you BYOC (bring your own container) you'll be treated to a discount with your purchase.

T'Arricrii: Sicilian brothers Riccardo and Romeo are debuting their arancini specialities at Hatch with meat, fish and veggie options. Plus they’re offering cannolos and juices made with Sicilian fruits.

Woks Cluckin: Korean fried chicken with kimchi is the signature dish of these wok-led purveyors of Pan-Asian street food.

Plus there’s the bonus of customer fave Firebird Hope agreeing to stick around at Hatch for the next 12 weeks. They’ll be serving up their two remarkable sandwiches; the free-range fried chicken ‘Level-Up’ and the vegan fried ’Triple 6’, both served on sourdough buns with a top-secret seasoning. All of this is complemented, as ever, by local craft beers and natural wines from Ol, and artisan coffee, cakes and more by Takk.

There’s a bee buzz about Hatch

Hatch is happy to be part of ‘Bee in the City’. The Hatch bee, designed by Kim Hubball, is called 'My Heart Belongs in this Place'. Find out more about Kim's inspiration here. People with the app downloaded will also be able to unlock a special Hatch discount.
