A HEALTHY breakfast gets your day off to the best possible start, but with today’s hectic schedules it’s a temptation to just skip it. Don’t. The clever alternative is to refuel on the way to work. That’s where Pita Pit comes in. Pita Pit is a rapidly expanding, healthy, quick service global restaurant franchise that was founded in Canada in 1995 with the goal of offering quality, healthy, fresh food fast in an informal atmosphere. The Manchester Piccadilly Place outlet is their first UK franchise.

Their health-driven format, which Taste of Manchester loves, is a world away from other fast-foods such as burgers, fries, pizzas and donuts. Customers order their pita sandwiches based on the main ingredient from grilled souvlaki chicken to dolphin-friendly skipjack tuna; from  grilled halloumi cheese to felafels, then specify what toppings they want – cheese, salad bar, sauces, dressings and spreads they want.
