HATCH’S vegan specialists Herbivorous are curating a series of Veganuary events, coinciding with the third birthday of what began as a festival street food operation before settling in the Oxford Road food, drink and craft hub.
Since then founders Robyn (above) and Damian have established a reputations for plant-based signature dishes such as heir Big Kahuna burger, vegan arancini and buffalo wings. Learn their secrets at upcoming workshops.
Homemade Meat Substitutes is taking place on Thursday,January 16 in the Hatch skills space, where you’ll learn how to produce your own seitan and get tips on how to use jackfruit and soya. Buy tickets at £10 blus booking fee here.
On Saturday, January 18 they’ll be running a Vegan Life Hacks stall throughout the day – giving tips on best apps, websites and who to follow, to meat substitute tasting and tricks. Other stalls will celebrate vegan lifestyle products.
On Thursday, January 23 and Thursday January 30, Herbivorous will be hosting an intimate four course Vegan Supper Club in Hatch’s new supper club dining room. Places are strictly limited – get them here.
Finally on Sunday, January 26, comes their Veganuary on a Budget workshop. There’ll be special student discounts for food and drink purchased on the day at this ticketed event.
