THAT enterprising wine guru Andy Leathley is hosting a unique coming together of local specialist shops this Friday (April 15). Independents’ Day: Battle of the Chorlton wine merchants will take place in the premises of Cellarkey, Andy’s wine bar at 495 Barlow Moor Road, M21 8AG that sadly closed its doors to the public in February.
Epicerie Ludo, Oddbins Chorlton, Tiny’s Tipple and Carrington’s will each provide a distinctive wine for the tasting, accompanied by nibbles and jazz. It starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £20 a head and, as with previous Andy events, they are selling out quickly. To grab yours email [email protected].
