Ivy unveils Decadent Snowball Fight dessert and ‘poles apart’ Terraces

19 November 2019

NO indication from the weather reports that we’d be encountering a ‘Snowball Fight’ this early before Christmas. Still as The Ivy heads for the holly the Spinningfields winter palace couldn’t resist adding a dessert of that name to its seasonal menu.

This limited edition treat consists of brandy ice cream, white chocolate, gingerbread and cream sauce and it’s available from November 25 to December 24 for £9.25.

For the festive season the venue has transformed its Roof Garden’s North and South terraces into the North and South Pole, complete with warming winter dishes and themed cocktails. The North Pole terrace offers a woodland escape, while the South Pole features nods to ice and Antarctica.

Created in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot the cocktails include a ‘Winter Garden’(£13.25) incorporating Whitley Neil Rhubarb & Ginger, Luxardo Maraschino, liqueur, Monin sugar, lemon juice, apple juice, lavender bitters and Champagne.

Seasonal dishes have also been added to the menu in The Ivy Brasserie while Ivy Asia continues to serve Asian-inspired cocktails alongside sharing dishes such as Wagyu beef with truffle sauce, salmon fillet teriyaki, and avocado, crispy tofu, lime and ginger dressing. All this coincides with the venue's first birthday on Wednesday, November 27.
