THERE was an awful lot of anguished beard tweaking around the Northern Quarter with the rumoured departure of the Koffee Pot from Hilton Street. The good news is the caffeine and fry-up fuelled creative hub is just decamping around the corner in the New Year. The worry still is how can they take their definitive wall mural with them to their new venue, the former Ryan Vintage Unit, at 84-86 Oldham Road?
The new Koffee Pot expects to open at the end of January 2015, not in time to help settle all those Hogmanay hangovers but, hey, it’s a relief this indie stalwart is surviving being squeezed out by its landlord and should be able to expand considerably in the new site.
