Luxurious Brazilian grill Fazenda to open in Spinningfields

15 July 2014

Spinningfields is set to celebrate another new arrival in the shape of Fazenda this October. The high-end Brazilian meat restaurant (see Liverpool branch pictured, for an idea of what to expect), will have an indoor and outdoor section serving freshly-grilled joints of meats, ‘churrascaria’-style (‘from the barbecue’) carved at the table. Fazenda offers 15 different cuts of beef, chicken, lamb and pork, plus a salad bar stocked with sushi, smoked salmon, cured meats, hot dishes and traditional Brazilian stews and beans.

Meats include fillet, rib eye and sirloin as well as a signature cut, the cap of rump or ‘picanha’ which is the most popular in Brazil. As at the likes of Bem Brasil, diners communicate with the ‘passadores’ or meat chefs) by showing a green card to be served and a red card to pause.

A temperature-controlled wine room is being specially built to showcase wines and there’s will be an impressive bar area too. Fazenda has had a warm reception so far in Leeds and Liverpool. General Manager Tomas Maunier, an Argentine overseeing the Manchester launch, says: “At Fazenda we are keeping the tradition of the Gaucho alive, slowly grilling large pieces of meat in the way it has been done for centuries. “With our authentic South American background, we offer a unique Gaucho-style dining experience at the highest level. We are confident of repeating our success in other Northern cities when we launch in Manchester.”
