Native Manchester aparthotel to open 1 July in Ducie Street Warehouse

11 April 2019 by Neil Sowerby

AS Native Manchester’s apartment hotel in Ducie Street Warehouse nears completion, it has released its first room reservations, with rooms available to book from July 1.

Intriguingly the hotel will also host an awardqinning boutique gym BLOK, a second edition of Hackney’s pioneering restaurant, Bistrotheque on the ground floor inside and independently run arts events and chill-out space, Cultureplex. Check out ToM’s preview

A stone’s throw from Manchester Piccadilly Native Manchester offers 166 apartments within the Grade II listed former warehouse, with its industrial chic design featuring high, brick barrelled ceilings, wide columns and wrought-iron girders.

There are seven different apartment types to choose from, starting with the comfortable yet compact Studio up to an incredibly spacious Penthouse Two Bed duplex apartment. Both the standard and premium two bed apartments have been designed for get-togethers with family and friends, offering two bathrooms, a dining table for six and sumptuous furnishings from top to bottom while larger groups can take advantage of the interconnecting apartments, giving guests a unique opportunity to share their living space with each other.

Designed by Archer Humphryes, the interiors are largely defined by the beauty of the existing structure, which dates from 1867. Working with the space provided, apartments enjoy large open living rooms, kitchens, hallways and luxurious bathrooms, with exposed brickwork, cast iron columns and beams and oiled oak timber floors.

Cultureplex opens later in July, offering coffee counter serving a healthy(ish) menu by day, that flips into natural wines and craft beer by night; a central space with an all-day offering and endless spaces to work and lounge; an elegant 80-seater restaurant with open kitchen, a small but highly specced cinema, and three adaptable private dining and meeting spaces.

Neighbours BLOK will deliver 25 different styles of class from Barre to Boxing to Calisthentics, across three bespoke studios.
