New Brekkies and Oktoberfest – Albert’s Schloss just never stops!

26 July 2017

WHERE to snatch that super healthy breakfast to charge your energies for the day? Teutonic party central Albert’s Schloss was never on that radar – until now. Suddenly with their new summer breakfast menu they’ve cracked that market, while still allowing scope for a little lederhosen-splitting self-indulgence.

The new menus available from 8am Monday to Friday and 9.30am at the weekend, when it obviously segues into brunch. So what’s on offer?

Cruffins and Kronuts naturally – baked daily in-house (for those of you just back from a long space mission, the former is half croissant/half muffin), the latter half croissant/half doughnut).

Followed perhaps by a Broke ’N’ English sandwich – broken egg yolk, treacle cured bacon, mature cheddar, avocado and red chill jam.

Not quite the healthy treats you’re after? Check out the Schloss’s Super Grain Bowl, featuring poached egg, mixed grains, avocado, pickled carrot, edamame and harissa.

Or maybe a twist on the breakfast classic, Crayfish Benedict (main picture) – fresh crayfish, poached eggs, spinach, toasted muffin and tarragon hollandaise. With Roast peaches and quark yoghurt, sour cherry, pistachio granola, honey and lime.

Do slip in an espresso martini, too. We won’t tell. And take advantage of a special launch offer. All guests can get 50 per cent off the breakfast menu until August 25 – you just have to say ‘Guten Morgen’ on arrival. Book online here

Meanwhile, tickets are on sale for the Schloss-run Oktoberfestival, a Bierhalle Weekender taking place over the weekend of September 15-17, concurrent with the original Oktoberfest in Munich and starring all their official beers –  including Paulaner, Hofbrau and Hacker Pschorr.

Venue will be the Albert Hall voted ‘best live music in Manchester’ for the last three years in a row. Naturally this launch line-up will be cooler than the oompah-led offering throughout the full three weeks of the Schloss’s Oktoberfest celebrations. From Marshall Jefferson to Norman Jay to Tim Burgess (DJ Set), more than 30 artists will perform at four Bier Halle sessions including ‘Bier Hall Soul Musik’ on Friday Night and ‘MCR HAUS’ on Saturday night.

Albert’s Schloss, 27 Peter Street, Manchester M2 5RQ. 0161 833 4040. Tickets for Oktoberfestival at Albert Hall costs £5. Availability is limited. Buy your tickets here
