Nigel Haworth and Simon Rogan shortlisted for AA Chef of the Year

TWO of the North West finest culinary exponents make the six-strong shortlist for AA Chef of the Year – Simon Rogan (below) of L’Enclume, Cartmel, and The French, Manchester, and Nigel Haworth (above) of Northcote in the Ribble Valley.

It’s the first time the organisation has revealed the runners for this prestigious category, the winner to be announced at London’s Grosvenor Park Lane Hotel on Monday, September 26.

The other four chefs in the running are Gordon Ramsay proteges Angela Hartnett and Clare Smyth, Sat Bains of the eponymous Nottingham restaurant and Ashley Palmer Watts, who runs Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
