PLATT Fields this Saturday (May 25,) hosts the eco festival Envirolution, now in its 10th year but with environmental messages that are ever more urgent.
A family-friendly event, educating us how to tackle climate change, it will feature music, demonstrations, workshops, sustainable craft and design, plus plant based food provided by street food heroes GRUB.
One huge bonus this year is the presence of The Orchard Project’s orchard restoration, in association with Bulmers, in the Shakespearean Gardens. To mark the unveiling on Monday, May 20, artisan food suppliers The Manchester Platter Company created an amazing 1.5m ‘tablescape’ (above) in celebration. We’ll be toasting it at Envirolution with a noggin of chilled scrumpy.
Saturday, May 25, Platt Fields Park, Manchester M14 6LA. 1pm-7pm, Free, www.facebook.com
