JUST when the former Brasserie Blanc premises at 55 King Street look are about to be occupied again six years after closing comes news of Raymond Blanc’s return to the North West with two new ventures.

The ebullient Frenchman, who holds two Michelin stars at his Oxfordshire flagship, the Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, is taking over Loch Fyne premises in Knutsford and Alderley Edge (pictured below). They will will be transformed into a Brasserie Blanc restaurant and a White Brasserie gastropub respectively.

The old Manchester site, which several potential operators have looked at, is set to become Grafene, a new restaurant from the husband and wife team behind the Orangery at Loosehill House in the Peak District.
