Real Junk Food Manchester to open two evenings a week

5 January 2018 by Neil Sowerby

REAL Junk Food Manchester’s cafe on Oxford Street, until now a daytime operation, is opening Wednesday and Friday evenings from January 10.

They’ll be serving a multi course set menu based around the quality produce they’ve intercepted that day and, as always, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available. The bill policy remains on a pay-as-you-feel basis and there’s a bar open until 10.30pm where guest can buy alcoholic or soft drinks.

You'll be seated on upcycled furniture with upcycled decor, plates and cutlery and are waited on by a volunteer team. They’ll even accommodate diners who want to be out within an hour to make the nearby Palace Theatre or HOME. Places are limited. Book here for January 10.

All funds raised go directly to support Real Junk Food Manchester in fighting food waste and food poverty by sourcing food that would otherwise go unused.

Real Junk Food Manchester, 85 Oxford St, Manchester, M1 6EQ. Wed Jan 10 and Fri Jan 12, 6pm-11pm.
