ON Wednesday, February 25, Season’s Eatings will be taking over the kitchen of Kosmonaut for its biggest pop-up Supper Club to date, serving up a four-course winter-inspired menu.
Featuring an eclectic mix of dishes such as delicate sea bream matched with rye to start and warming duck served with fragrant bergamot for main, the menu offers a surprising mix of ingredients. Tender hearty purple sprouting broccoli is paired with anchovy and radish, while the duck is teamed with radicchio and salsify.
The Kosmonaut team have created a bespoke drinks list, featuring sake and red and white wines to complement each dish:
Sea bream, rye
with Honjozo Genshu Saké: Akashi-Tai
Purple sprouting broccoli, anchovy, radish
with Soave: Filipi, Vigne della Bra
Duck, bergamot, radicchio, salsify
with Aglianico: Il Cancelliere
Blood orange, hazelnut, beetroot
with Umeshu plum-infused saké: Akashi-Tai
Season’s Eatings duo Issy and Suzy, both professional chefs, met at university in Manchester before going their separate ways. Reunited by their ideas and hopes for seasonal food, their Supper Clubs have taken off, having previously sold out at Trove in Levenshulme and Fig and Sparrow.
Tickets cost £30, which includes all four courses. Drinks pairing is optional, with a £20 add-on, which guests can opt into on arrival at Kosmonaut at 7:30pm.
