Simon Rogan and Pip Lacey headline Chef Live Theatre at Northern Restaurant Bar

A FEAST of top chefs demos is lined up for the North’s showcase food trade event – the Northern Restaurant & Bar at Manchester Central on March 15 and 16.

Pip Lacey (below), from the Michelin starred Murano, London, will be joining Simon Rogan (above), of Michelin-starred l’Enclume, Cartmel and Manchester’s own The French at the Midland, and a host of chefs from around the UK in the popular Chef Live theatre. 

This year everyone who registers for a free ticket to the exhibition by February 29 will be entered into a draw to win the chance to sit at the ‘Chef’s Table’ and watch one of the chefs up close and taste their final dishes.

This year’s line-up includes Andrew Provan, Harry’s Shack, Northern Ireland; Adam Reid, The French; Simon Shaw, El Gato Negro, Manchester; Matt Worswick, The Lawns at Thornton Hall, The Wirral; Victor Yu, Yu Alderley Edge; Arthur Quin, winner of the Essential Cuisine North West Young Chef of the Year 2015 competition, from Punchbowl Inn and Restaurant, Cumbria; and finally. cooking with Lakeland Herdwick lamb, Nigel Haworth from Michelin-starred Northcote near Blackburn.

And the star names at the 16th NRB are not just chefs. Observer food critic Jay Rayner headlines the NRB Debate – plus  there’s the announcement of the NRB Top Fifty Awards celebrating the region’s top hospitality operators and the new NRB NEDworking, the first event of its kind in the North to bring together entrepreneurs and non-executive directors. (NEDs).
