Sleep with the fishes – Fat Tony's new menu at Kosmonaut

10 November 2017

FAT Tony may sound like a refugee from The Sopranos but he’s found time to put his name to the new menu at Northern Quarter bar Kosmonaut

There’s been a gap in the food offering since the departure of the Hip Hop Chip Shop pop-up (try saying that with a battered fish in your mouth) but Fat Tony’s will definitely fill it big time with mains such as poutine with handmade chips, gravy and cheese curds, a burger line-up featuring a classic beef with smoked cheddar, chilli jam and house pickles. buttermilk fried chicken thigh with chicken gravy and winter slaw, and a veggie panko potato patty with wasabi mayo, Asian slaw and sweet potato wedges.

Phew, and to fill the Sunday lunch gap – the Kosmonaut Sunday Roast is back with chicken, beef and veggie options, served with roasted potatoes, honey roasted carrots, savoy cabbage, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and gravy.

Bar snacks include sweet potato croquettes, cauliflower cheese, roasted bone marrow with pickles and a runny Manchester Egg.

A new cocktail menu introduces Along for the Ride (gin, rhubarb, raspberry and prosecco), Rumbongo (rum, apple, pineapple, and passion fruit), Banjos at Dawn (bourbon, apricot, pecan and butterscotch) and Mexican Medicine (mescal, ginger, yuzu and lemon). Cheers, Fat Tony.
