Taste of Manchester teams up with Lunya to host our debut Taste Supper Club

PUT Thursday, June 14, down in your diary but only after booking in for the first of our very special Taste of Manchester Supper Clubs. It’s Catalan themed because that’s the speciality of our hosts for the night – Lunya in the Barton Arcade.

Proudly independent, Lunya, of course, is more than just a restaurant and bar. The heart of the operation is the deli where you can find an array of 1.300 authentic Iberian delicacies lovingly sourced by owners Peter and Kinsella. They are the base for this extraordinary Supper Club event.

In Spain, there is a strong history of preserved foods.  Traditionally, the best conservas companies have had the pick of the crop or catch and only the very best products have found their way into cans and jars. Picked or caught in season, preserved perfectly and ready to eat all year round. 

Lunya has prepared a gastronomic feast of seven courses, showcasing the fabulous preserved products from Spain, each course carefully matched with a stunning Spanish wine. Full menu below.

The Kinsellas will talk guests through each course, and the paired drinks – sharing some of their extensive knowledge and insights into this wonderful cuisine.
