THE PIES HAVE IT! FRESH MENU FOR STORE STREET EXCHANGE

21 February 2019

PIES making a comeback? They never went away really, but it’s good to see Store Street Exchange putting them in the spotlight in their new menu alongside their signature dish, spit roasted rotisserie Goosnargh chicken.

Those birds are sourced from the well-established Johnson and Swarbrick operation in that Lancashire village. So it’s no surprise the’ve chosen the award-winning Great North Pie Co for the handmade pie menu.

Each day’s choice will depend on what Great North Pie Co’s Neil Broomfield has delivered and so guests will be able to choose from an evolving seasonal pie collection every visit. Expect the likes of Swaledale Beef and Mince and Onion; Roast Chicken and Ham; Classic Lancashire Cheese and Onion; and Spinach and Cheese.

Complementing the new range, Store Street’s Executive Chef Stuart Fox has added his own pie to the roster – the first ever homemade Store Street Fish Pie – while the rotisserie has a new spicy new addition with the Chinese Spiced Pork Belly.

The chargrill now has a new 16oz T-bone steak on the menu from Campbell Brothers and the starter collection includes the local Bury Black Pudding & Apple Sausage roll, plus the new smoked Haddock and Gruyere Croquettes.

Forest Mushroom Pappardelle, Bay Spinach, Garlic and Parmesan is an enticing new vggie option

Store Street Exchange is situated on the ground floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. The restaurant’s range of local beers plus cocktails and wines are all available at standalone drinking den the Store Street Craft Bar with an entrance on London Road.
