REMEMBER the days when Almost Famous had them queuing around the NQ block? Rival establishments flocked to benefit from the burger boom, pile the patties high their aim. Somewhere along the way as AF expanded out to the Great Northern, the brand lost its chutzpah.
Maybe that’s all about to change with a relaunch of the flagship diner inn High Street and whole new menu of burger creations they want us all to come to down to review this weekend, giving for 20 people the amazing chance to win a FREE burger a week for a year.
It all kicks off on Thursday, September 29, when there’s a free burger takeaway at noon, plus a party from 7pm with free food and high jinks all evening.
On Friday, September 29, the first 20 people through the door will receive a black card, guaranteeing them a free weekly burger for a year. The next 20 people folk also get a complimentary burger on the spot. The first 10people through the doors on Saturday September 30 and Sunday, October 1, eat for free.
It’ s a chance too to check out the revamped interior and artwork and other new menu treats such as salted caramel popcorn candyfloss.
