PROOF that a log cabin is not just for Christmas. It only seems like yesterday the timber-centric Tavern in Spinningfields featured in our Places to be Merry festive round-up. Now it’s gearing up for spring with a new comfort food and drinks menu.
Since replacing The Lawn Club in October the cosy Hardman Square venue has proved a handy destination for after work drinks and weekend drinks. Nothing fancy on the new bites menu curated by Bread and Bowl – the likes of soup, roast chicken salad, camembert tear and share, fish finger butties, lots of melted cheese – but perfect ballast for the refreshed drinks offering.
Look out for cocktails such as Honey Jack Sour and Gin Genie, plus Tavern lager, Orchard Cider and Camden Hells, available by the pint or Bavarian Stein.
Operations Manager Adrian Price told us: “We’re thrilled to have Bread and Bowl on site serving our customers a fantastic range of seasonal food. They are already proving extremely popular with the crowds passing through the venue throughout the week.”
The Tavern is open daily from 12pm till late in Hardman Square, with food available Monday to Sunday and live music every Friday from 6pm. Wednesdays mean “Quiz & Fizz” night.
