Vegan Festival at the Audacious Church this Saturday (September 30)

28 September 2017

THERE’S a certain missionary zeal to being a plant-based devotee, so it seems appropriate that Manchester’s latest Vegan Festival is being held in Salford’s Audacious Church (co-venue being the apostate Thirsty Scholar bar) on Saturday, September 30.

The Audacious, off Trinity Way, offers 100 stalls, with an array of vegan food, ethical shopping, cookery demos, talks, yoga classes, workshops, a children's area and live msuic. The food offering from 10 separate caterers includes Greek-style bakes, cakes, pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, Ital specialties, African cuisine, pies and Indian snacks. Meanwhile, the Thirsty Scholar on New Wakefield Street hosts a vegan beer, cider and wine festival.

Both the vegan festival at the Audacious Church, and the vegan wine festival at the Thirsty Scholar, are open from 10:30am – 4:30pm. Entry fee on the door £5. Check out the full sessions schedule at the Audacious here.
