Wilderness rockfest gig for Where The Light Gets In Sam

21 February 2018 by Neil Sowerby

WHEN Sam Buckley, of Stockport’s Where The Light Gets In, was playing upright bass for brilliant Didsbury singer-songwriter Liz Green back a few years back did he imagine he would one day be sharing a festival spotlight with Nile Rodgers and Chic? As a chef!

That’s happening this summer at the appropriately leftfield Wilderness at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire (August 2-5). Nile is headlining the main stage of this festival with an outdoor ethos encompassing music, theatre, art and food.

Sam, meanwhile, will be hosting the Chef’s Table, no doubt putting to good use his skills in foraging and fermentation, alongside likeminded young chefs Mexico’s Santiago Latra and James Lowe of Lyle’s in Shoreditch. Star foodie names on he Banqueting and Feasting Stage will be Yotam Ottolenghi and Angela Hartnett.
