Not one for the purists, either in the original down Bridge Street or in its loco offspring underneath Affleck’s in the Northern Quarter (both open till 4am), but their standard 16 inchers to share are fun and good value, whatever the groundbreaking topping. For Christmas they gave us the one-off, LET IT DOUGH, LET IT DOUGH, LET IT DOUGH, which featured Christmas cake, Cheddar cheese, fig, pear, pigs in blankets, parsley, cranberry and balsamic glaze. Which makes the January special The Bloody Mary Pizza with Bloody Mary marinated shrimp, freshly grated horseradish, black olives, watercress and onion seem almost sensible.
