The welcoming Hearth has taken over the mantle of the fine dining destination in the foodie-centric township. Their Sunday roast is a special treat, giving you choice, say, of 

Buccleuch Estate beef or local Helmshore lamb.A heavenly pink sirloin, moist from proper fat, came delicately sliced, but the accompanying Yorkshire pud was a bruiser and the grey was the proper pan-stuff. Perfect accompaniments? Proper crisp roasties and chunky cauliflower cheese.
