A superlative example of the monumental Edwardian pub interiors created by Holt's Brewery that has been paintakingly restored. They even kept the original billiards room. Four rooms are built round a central bar with a plethora of ornate tiles, etched glass and solid mahogany. Yet with karaoke and quiz nights and affordable ale, it hardly feels like a museum piece.
