Don’t let the lavish interiors inspired by tattoo art distract you from the Hakkasan-style Chinese fusion food on offer, which has become seriously good two years from its opening in Spinningfields. Of course, it looks seriously good, but then everything does here from the designer dim sum to some of the best desserts in Manchester. Owner brothers Adam and Drew Jones have now branchede the brand into Leeds. From the enticing menu go for wagyu beef dumplings, beef and foie gras gyoza and venison wonton and, of course Nobu-style black cod with miso. Service is terrific. Check out the hybrid cherry blossom tree centrepiece.
